Just received my game..loved it! The art work is far better, I instantly ordered four expansion sets to build my new armies. Vote for the Feudal army, the Cleric heals wounds as you battle, very cool.

Just got my game in the mail. I no longer have my 1st ed. game so I cannot compare them except by memory, but this looks great. I like the addition of the feudal army. I got two expansion sets. Not sure how I’m supposed to handle the third sheet of labels (with the chaos critters, gold, silver, tomes, etc) since their colors don’t match the color sets for the 7 armies…do I just read them across, left to right, like the other labels? (ex: Wurn, Nessie, Giant, Ice Dragon, Weredragon, Gold, Tome, in that order, would go to the Amazons, Barbarians and Dwarves, Elves, Feudals, Orcs, Undead, respectively? Or do I assign them randomly or according to my own whim? Want to keep things fair and am uncertain what was intended here.

The third set of labels in every heroes and treasures set (chaos, werebeasts etc.) can be applied as you see fit. There are no rules! If you purchase additional expansions, you’ll get more 7 more such stickers to be applied as you choose again. The only consideration you might want to try to balance armies so that they are close to even in terms of GP value. But you can also balance it up in the process of scenario design.

Another question came up today as I read through the rules: How does one conduct an amphibious operation on unfriendly shores? The naval transport rules only cover movement between already friendly ports. But what if your enemy is on an island, or you are on an island and your enemy on the mainland? I couldn’t find any mechanism in the rules for seeing troops from a port to a coastal hex (either enemy or neutral).

You can only get to an enemy controlled island with flyers and/or aquatics. Once you seize a port, more units can pour ashore (limited by Port Capacity so seizing more ports is helpful).
